WGGB has successfully negotiated a 2% increase in minimum fees with the National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.
This now means that the minimum for a full length play is £12,554 (except for Royal Court Upstairs, which is £9,825).
WGGB Acting General Secretary Ellie Peers said: “We’ve done it again, and negotiated an above-nflation increase for our members. I am delighted that the national theatres have recognised and awarded the brilliant work of playwrights in the UK.”
The new rates are effective from 1 April 2017.
