If you’re already a WGGB member, why not recommend a friend or colleague to join us?
The more members we have, the stronger we are – and if every member refers a friend we would double our negotiating and campaigning power!
We’ve made this easy for you by producing some template email text below which you can copy and paste into an email and send to a friend. Alternatively you can use our online tool below that which will automatically launch your email client and paste the text in for you. To use this tool, just type the email address of your friend or colleague into the address field below, wait for your email browser to launch (you may experience a delay and this will depend on the speed of your device, your settings and other issues). When your email browser launches it should automatically show an email with your friend’s address in the ‘To’ field, the subject field filled in for you and the email message below copied in, so that you just have to press ‘send’. If this does not happen automatically it may mean your computer settings are blocking this.
My union, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, is doing fantastic work negotiating pay increases, improving working conditions and campaigning and lobbying for UK writers in film, TV, theatre, audio, books, comedy, animation and videogames. You can see some of their recent success here
I’m proud to be a part of this active, growing community that is making a real difference to writers’ lives (and they have lots of great member benefits too, including free contract vetting, support and advice).
My member subscriptions get invested in this vital work – the monthly payment starts at just £9 per month, and anyone can join – whether you have an agent and professional credits already, or are just starting out.
I really value all the free events, training, film screenings, discounts, job and competition alerts and other perks they offer and also the chance to get involved in campaigns that make such a difference too.
