WGGB’s theatre negotiators have agreed an above-inflation increase on minimum fees for playwrights working under WGGB’s ITC agreement.
The rise averages 2.43% across the 11 individual rates.
This means that from 3 April 2017 minimum rates for a full-length play (70 minutes or over) rise to £8,700. The minimum rate of £5,793 applies for a play between 30 and 69 minutes, and £2,897 for a play under 30 minutes.
WGGB Acting General Secretary Ellie Peers said: “ITC theatre writers deserve this uplift in their minimum fees and I am delighted, that in increasingly tough times, WGGB has once again delivered for our members in this area.”
Full details can be found in our ITC rate card.
