WGGB welcomes the launch last week of an independent online portal from the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA), which marks a significant milestone for everyone working in the UK’s creative industries.
The online reporting portal is a secure, confidential space where workers in film, TV, music and theatre can raise whistleblowing concerns for the first time. WGGB has been a long-term supporter of CIISA and has committed to working with them to help improve our creative industries.
As an officially designated whistleblowing body, CIISA can receive reports relating to harassment, discrimination, victimisation and other harmful practices, including in cases where NDAs have previously been signed.
You can find out more and report issues via the portal here.
WGGB members who are seeking individual advice and support with their contract issues (or around issues such as bullying, harassment or discrimination) can contact our casework team by email: [email protected]
About CIISA’s Standards
CIISA’s Standards provide a framework for a single, unified vision of professional standards of behaviour within the creative industries. They aim to illustrate what a safe and inclusive working environment, which treats people with dignity, looks like, whatever the size of the organisation, production or project.
The Standards were crafted through detailed and extensive collaboration with key organisations (including WGGB) in the film, television, theatre and music sectors. They have been adopted across the creative sector and CIISA is developing a range of materials to support their use. You can view the Standards here.
