Tosin Otudeko

It is an honour to serve the Guild as Co-Chair of the Film Committee after being part of the committee over the last eight years.

My writing work, originating from Nigeria, spans theatre, music and film, including The Wedding Party (commissioned writer) and Over The Bridge (writer and producer). Having experienced the industry from a variety of production roles, I am encouraged by the work of the Guild in protecting writers’ rights – having also benefitted from this advice early on in my career, and I am eager to contribute to this.

While on the committee, we have addressed issues surrounding fairer working conditions, visibility of the writer, development funding, support for emerging writers and technology.

The enthusiasm and insight from our predecessors and members has been motivating in initiating and facilitating causes pertinent to our work and livelihood as writers. I plan to build on this, while lending my voice alongside my Co-Chair, as we navigate the dynamic demands of the industry.
