I have come to recognise the important work the WGGB do in improving the working lives of writers and in particular I am very keen to help improve things for those working in theatre. I have been working as a playwright for 20 years now and have seen the industry shift and change many times. I am a passionate advocate for writers and freelancers and making sure that people are getting a chance to use their voices and stories in humane and fair ways. 

As a member of the Theatre Committee over the last couple of years I’ve witnessed the important work they do in negotiating better terms for playwrights and supporting and advocating for us all. I feel privileged to be taking on this role of Co-Chair with Sonali and look forward to the work we will be doing with the committee over the next few years.
