Liam is a highly experienced and critically acclaimed writer of drama, passionate about crafting deeply human and emotional stories within the most unique of concepts and worlds; ranging from the quaint Yorkshire Dales to the furthest recesses of space and beyond. Often praised for his character-led humour, Liam also has a proven track record for leaving audiences in floods of tears or on the edges of their seats, as seen in his BAFTA nominated work on ITV’s Emmerdale.
Liam’s writing skills are not confined to television only, as he also has a thriving comic book career both in the UK and the United States. Contributing extensively to 2000 AD, he’s left an indelible mark on the Judge Dredd universe, penning such much-loved characters as Armitage, Judge Anderson, and Judge Dredd himself. Elsewhere, he creates original sci-fi and horror tales featuring both existing IP and entirely new properties devised by himself and his artistic collaborators. Clients include Oni Press, Boom Studios, Dynamite Comics and more.
North-Eastern bred and North-Western based, Liam’s stories reach for the stars whilst never losing their earthly footing. Liam also has a wealth of experience within a Writers’ Room setting, as well as an extensive and highly acclaimed background in Script Editing and Story Research.
