JACOB FOX (né Semahn) is a writer and producer working across film, television, comics, and video games.
His television credits include Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, and Marvel’s Spider-Man for Marvel/Disney, Daniel Spellbound for Netflix, and Robert Kirkman’s Super Dinosaur for Amazon Prime Video. He is also the creator of two Image Comics series: Goners, winner of the Russ Manning Award, and No. 1 With A Bullet, an Eisner nominee. His first video game, an unannounced title with Nitrate Games, will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con later this month.
Fox turned his focus to genre features after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger claimed an HBO Max drama on which he was a staff writer: an adaptation of Sophie Poldermans’s Seducing and Killing Nazis, about three women of the Dutch resistance. He is currently developing Fathoms, a survival horror set aboard a submarine, with Catchlight Studios (Heretic), and A Game of You, a coming-of-age thriller, with Amasia Entertainment (The Green Hornet and Kato).
He writes horror, thriller, crime drama, and IP animation for film and television. Having just moved to London from Los Angeles, Fox is a U.S.-Irish dual citizen, eligible to work in the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union.
