Jo Southwell is an award winning director | writer for screen. As a storyteller, she explores the female narrative with an emotionally resonant creative vision. Known for eliciting powerful performances, elevating scripts through a distinct visual language, and collaborating seamlessly with cast and crew at all levels, Jo has established herself as a director with both vision and technical precision.
Her work explores adaptations, mythology, genre and coming of age.
Recently awarded an MA : Writing for Script and Screen (Distinction) for Falmouth.
Jo is in development with several feature films and a TV series.
