#HeartUnions Week is an annual celebration of the trade union movement and what we achieve for our members.
Organised by the TUC each year, it runs this week (from 9-15 February 2026). We are asking WGGB members to help make your union stronger by recruiting a friend or colleague. And for writers who are not yet members, to join us!
Our website has a special online tool to help support you recruit another writer by email, with text that is automatically copied and pasted into an email for you, or that you can adapt yourself. You can access it here.

- Change your profile picture on your social media channels to show your love for your union – we’ve produced a special #HeartUnions Week graphic here.
- Post on social media about what your union membership means to you and why you think other writers should join. We’ve produced some special #HeartUnions Week social media graphics or you could also post a short video. Download an ‘I love WGGB’ landscape social media graphic here or a square one here.
