As a union member, you are part of a thriving, campaigning and growing community working to achieve better pay and working conditions for writers. If you are interested in getting more involved - as an activist, a representative, a negotiator or in another capacity – we want to hear from you.

WGGB campaign groups are cross-craft groups of members who inform WGGB policy positions on specific areas of interest. Campaign groups may also help to steer the Craft, National and Regional committees on activist work. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions about campaign groups.
Negotiating teams are fundamental to the union's work in securing fair pay and equitable deal terms for writers. Working with Craft and National committees and Head Office, the negotiating teams work with industry bodies on updating and future-proofing our industry agreements.
Please note that only Full members can be on negotiating teams.
The Equality and Diversity networks play a key role in advising the Equality and Diversity committee on challenges facing specific groups of writers. The networks will discuss and recommend priorities to the committee. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions about the Equality and Diversity networks.
Workplace links act as a liaison between the WGGB and places where a number of writers are employed. Workplace links work to support recruitment of new members and represent workplace concerns to relevant committees and Head Office.
The Higher Education network is a forum for writers working in higher education to discuss issues affecting them in their workplaces.
