The WGGB negotiating team has secured a 2% uplift on minimum fees for screenwriters working under our collective agreement with ITV. The new rates are effective from 19 October 2026.

This means that the rate for a one-hour (slot length) original teleplay goes up to £16,460, with the rate for series/serials rising to £12,882. For long-running series, the minimum rate increases to £4,294 per half-hour slot length. Attendance fees rise to £140 per day.

WGGB General Secretary Ellie Peers said:

“We continue to work hard for writers across all our different craft areas to ensure that they are properly remunerated for their vital contributions, so we are pleased to announce this rise on minimum fees for screenwriters working under our collective agreement with ITV.”
