“Having been a member of the Theatre Committee since 2003, it is a great privilege to be able to serve as Chair, and I very much look forward to continuing the collaborative approach we have established over the last few years.

“Also, I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed a fulfilling career as a playwright, mentor and teacher of playwriting, so I hope I can bring this experience to bear in these challenging times; endeavouring to counter the prevailing head-wind of austerity and entitlement in our profession, through the support, advice and negotiating service we offer to all our members.”
