Davey Moore

Hey! Thanks for checking me out (like a library book!). I am an award-winning Screenwriter with 20+ years’ experience of writing for young people – from preschool to teen.

I am currently writing scripts for series 2 of the multi-award-winning series Maddie + Triggs for RTE and Series 5 of Tulipop Tales for RÚV (Iceland). I recently wrote all 26 episodes of preschool comedy show Tree & Bee for KIKA (Germany). I also wrote seven episodes of the forthcoming Craig “Powerpuff Girls” McCracken show – which I can’t wait to tell you about!

In 2025 I won the Industry Excellence Award for Screenwriting at Manchester Animation Festival. I also wrote on Rafi the Wishing Wizard for CBeebies, Magicampers for Disney+, and Happy Town (voiced by Mel B) and 123 Number Squad – both for Sky Kids.

Having written the pilot scripts and bible, I scripted all 78 episodes of Tinpo, with my occasional writing partner Emma Hogan, for CBeebies. Following that, I wrote a series of Care Bears shorts and episodes of Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese for the same production company.

Having worked on the show continuously since series 17, I wrote 50 episodes of Thomas & Friends, including a double-length musical episode, and numerous original YouTube shorts.

I was super happy to write 19 gorgeous episodes of Puffin Rock – winner of Best New Preschool Series and Best Animated Preschool Series at Kidscreen 2016 and nominated for three Annies in 2017 including Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production for my episode The First Snow.

I bring the benefit of my screenwriting and script editing experience to work as a Development Producer and Creative Consultant. I have worked with numerous individuals, independents and broadcasters to bring their ideas to the screen, including: Cartoon Saloon; Warner Media; and Sprout. Some shows that I’ve been involved with at development stage, that went into production, include: The Tiny Chef Show (Nickelodeon); Claude (Disney); Mumfie (France Television); and the kids TV juggernaut Paw Patrol.

If you are interested in the recent reboot of Balamory then you may like to know that I was a Researcher and Storyliner on the OG – and I scripted 35 episodes.

But, before all of this, I worked in children’s publishing. I wrote books and comics for brands such as LEGO, Toy Story, Timon & Pumbaa, Shrek, Dick & Dom In Da Bungalow, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I wrote three Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style books for Dr Who. I even wrote fiction for girls’ magazines.

For fun, I watch shows on Adult Swim, bang out songs on the piano, take improvisation classes, play video games, and will dance at the drop of a handbag. I am also a big live music fan. Going to shows is absolutely one of my favourite things to do and so… I’m currently writing something about that!
