Writer's credits

Gail is a BAFTA award-winning writer. She’s recently won the WGGB Outstanding Contribution to Writing Award. Gail has written and created hundreds of BBC, ITV and C4 comedy shows (both sit com and sketch) and also children’s series. Gail has co-written and co-produced a new pre-school children’s puppet series, Monty & Co, found on BBC iPlayer.

Other credits include: C4’s Get Up, Stand Up and BBC’s Custer’s Last Stand Up and, for children, ChuckleVision, Out Of Tune, Pipkins and The Famous Five and many more.

Gail also writes books, films and stage plays. Her coming-of-age book, Give Me A Chance, is about her teenage times with John Lennon,  based on her true story of sneaking into John and Yoko’s Bed-In for peace to get an interview for her school newspaper when she was 16 and becoming lifelong friends. Her book is currently being developed for film.

Gail has written close to 1000 books and stories for Disney and appears regularly on radio, telly and podcasts.

Gail is the former Chair, and current Treasurer, of the WGGB.
