Roland is co-creator and co-head writer on Fallen, a supernatural drama series (8 x 60’) that was released world-wide in 2025.

Roland was head writer, showrunner and storyliner on a 30-part adaptation of Humans for Endemol Shine and Croton in China. The production is a co-production for TV between the UK and China. It was released internationally in 2020.

Roland was also head writer on an international drama series co- production between Fremantle UK, Germany and Croatia. He adapted and devised the 12 x 60’ drama from the best-selling book, The Witch of Grič – to create a dark historical drama about witch hunts in Eighteenth Century Europe.

In the UK, Roland was also the creator and lead writer of the popular period drama Land Girls (BBC1), which ran for three series. During this time, the series won a Broadcast Award and four RTS Awards The series have been sold to territories around the world and has been translated and dubbed into various languages. Roland wrote a series of spin-off novels for Harper Collins.

Two of his feature films 2:hrs (UK) and Summer Can Wait (China/UK) have been released. His horror feature The Corridor is currently looking for a home.
