Helen Watts

Helen is a writer, director and story consultant with a particular interest in historical drama and musicals. Adaptations for stage include Persuasion, Far From The Madding Crowd, Northanger Abbey, Under The Greenwood Tree, Frankenstein: The Year Without A Summer and A Christmas Carol. Book writing commissions include Lysistrata (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama) The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow (National Youth Music Theatre)Mrs Beeton Says… (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School) and Love is Not A Science (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama).


Helen is published and licensed by Samuel French (Concord Theatricals) and from 2006-2021 was artistic director at The Dorset Corset Theatre Company. She is currently a freelance writer and story consultant for Pendragon Works.
