Jodie Ashdown is a queer film and television writer based in South Wales. She is one of this year's Edinburgh TV Festival's Ones to Watch and her TV pilot 'Mouse Circus' is on this year's Brit List and is in development with Boom. She was also selected for the Welsh Voices talent scheme with BBC Writersroom and her first feature 'Spring Tide' is in development with Focus Shift Films and Feracious Entertainment after gaining a place on the global feature lab, Attagirl. Jodie is drawn to writing narratives with an unlikely hero, particularly LGBTQ+, older, or female protagonists. Her work is often dark with a comedic edge and she enjoys finding the humour in classically serious subjects.
