Emma Louise Tinniswood

Emma is a Drama teacher and performing arts teacher who has been writing for theatre for over 20 years.  She writes plays and musicals as well as monologues and duologues primarily for young performers and youth theatres. Her book, Monologues and Duologues for Young Performers was published by Methuen Drama and Bloomsbury in 2019 and was recently a finalist for the Music and Drama Education Awards 2023, for Most Outstanding Drama Education Resource.

She has taught Drama and Music for nearly 25 years in schools and youth theatres and is the owner and Artistic Director of Step On Stage in West London.  She has also been an examiner for LAMDA and regularly writes for their Acting syllabus.  Emma currently teaches playwriting to students aged 10-16 as well as teaching Drama, Music and Musical Theatre.
