About / Bio

Born and raised in Argentina, Paula began her career as a journalist before transitioning to film production and scriptwriting over 20 years ago.  As a Latin American based in London, Paula’s multicultural background has allowed her to explore diverse narratives, weaving social stories that resonate with a international audiences. She co-wrote and co-produced the award winning film LISTEN with her partner Aaron Brookner, receiving 35+ awards including two Lions at Venice Film Festival (Jury Award and Lion of the Future 2020) and several Best Script awards. In addition to her work as a scriptwriter, she has also ventured into producing, co-founding the production company Pinball London. This has allowed her to further develop her vision, providing a platform for celebrated and emerging filmmakers. Among her current projects she is developing REVOLUTION SCHOOL, a series based on Simon Sebag Montefiore’s book My Affair with Stalin, for ZDF and German production company Maze and the mini-series The Life and Times of Tina Modotti for AG Studios and Braven Films.
