Christine Murphy

Christine Murphy is a scriptwriter from Belfast. Her debut feature film Cup Cake premiered and won the Audience Award at the Belfast Film Festival in 2010. In 2013, she won the Irish Writers’ Guild Zebbie Award for her BBC Radio 4 drama Kicking the Air starring Vicky McClure. She is a 2016 alumnus of the prestigious eQuinoxe Europe feature script development programme. She has written for several long-running TV series, including Emmerdale, Doctors and Eastenders and is currently writing for the new Britbox/BBC TV series Hope Street.
