Suzie studied mathematics before turning her hand to art and then film.
Her first short ROCKET MAN (starring Sean Hughes) debuted at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for the Tele Piu prize. Follow up short TWO MINUTE WARNING won at Portobello.
Her first feature (as writer) ONE MORE KISS starring Gerard Butler won The Audience Award at the Atlantic Film Festival, while TV series JUST DESSERTS was nominated for a Royal TV Society Award and Interactive Web series RUNNING TIME for a BAFTA.
Her first feature as writer/director BIGGA THAN BEN: A RUSSIANS’ GUIDE TO RIPPING OFF LONDON starring Ben Barnes and Hero Fiennes Tiffin won Best Comedy at Los Angeles DIY Film Festival. BIGGA THAN BEN was also nominated at Austin FF for Best Narrative Drama, played Best of the Fest at Edinburgh FF and Moscow Int’l FF and was one of The Times Top 100 Films of that year.
Her second feature as writer/director DIVISION 19 stars Linus Roache, Clarke Peters and Jamie Draven. DIVISION 19 won at Fantasporto (Critics’ Award), 43rd Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival (Best Director) and closed Sci-Fi London.
Next up is Gaza-set comedy Gaza Stripes.
