Kal Bonner
Kal is originally from Liverpool and began her writing career in 2007 with Climbing A Ladder Backwards, a novel shortlisted for Susan Hill’s Longbarn First Novel Award. She has also received Eisteddfod Awards for her short stories.
Since then she has focused on screenwriting, resulting in award winning short films; and has placed as a Semi Finalist 42nd Atlanta Film Festival 2018, in the top 6% Academy Nicholl Fellowship 2017 and as a Quarter Finalist Final Draft Big Break 2017 for her scripts.
During 2020 she completed on the feature film BIG BOYS DON’T CRY starring Michael Socha (Chernobyl, Being Human, This is England) now screening on Netflix.
