Writer-Director Eoin Cleland may be best known for his multi-award winning BBC TV movie (Ups and Downs); a coming of age road trip centred on a young man with Downs Syndrome. In 2020 he was nominated as Best New Director at the Edinburgh TV Festival. He has written for RTÉ's longstanding soap Fair City, and BBCNI's college drama series 6 Degrees. He has directed for BBC3's The Break. He has also written contributions to TV comedies, Newsjack, Watson's Wind Up and Soft Border Control. One sketch he wrote, 'Moving the Border', went viral and wracked up more than 50 million views online. This is all alongside numerous short films and web series that he's written and directed. These include the multi award winning 'Incoming Call', (Best Film at Belfast Film Festival), Kill Me Now (RTÉ) and two RTÉ Storyland web series he created.
