Michael Conley



Michael is a writer and performer living in London. He has written the plays THE CANCELLATION OF CRISPIN COX, A GAY DIVORCE, FOR DAISY WHEN YOU'RE OLDER, 7 PAGES IN THE 83RD VOLUME OF THE PHS FLASHLIGHT and BAUBO AND THE QUEEN OF THE SEA. With Luke Bateman he has written the musicals THE FABULIST FOX SISTER, THE SORROWS OF SATAN, PERSONALITY: A DARK STORY OF LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT (based on the novel by Andrew O'Hagan) and THE LITTLE BEASTS (WHAT HAPPENS TO NAUGHTY CHILDREN). With Richy Hughes and Joseph Finlay he has written the musical SUPERHERO: A ONE DAD MUSICAL. With Gianluca Cucchiara and Andrew Whelan he has written the musical VANARA. With Dylan Schlosberg he has written the musical adaptation of INDECENT PROPOSAL.


In New York Michael starred in HELLO, BOYS! (which he wrote with Matthew Loren Cohen) and hosted the award-winning GAY & LESBIAN COMEDY FEST at Don’t Tell Mama.


Michael adapted Julien Salvia and Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal’s Marius Award winning musical THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER and their Molière Award nominated musical MATCHES into English.  Michael is a founding member of the BOOK Music & Lyrics professional development workshop (for which he also sits on the board).




He is also a novellist working on his second book.
