James Durose-Rayner

An editor and journalist (W012078) responsible for over 200 publications, James is also an indie author who currently lives between the UK and Cyprus.
He was born in Mexborough, South Yorkshire in 1964, but from 1966 to 1998 lived in the Dearne Valley between the villages of Bolton-upon-Dearne, Goldthorpe and Thurnscoe before moving out into North Lincolnshire.
He uses writing solely as a hobby, although ‘I Am Sam’ – the first book of a trilogy - reached the top of Amazon’s sports fiction charts just a few days after its release. The second part of the trilogy is ‘ITV 7’, which one of the UK’s top illustrators Tim D’Addio was commissioned to design the front cover and was published in December 2015.

As yet ITV 7 hasn't been fully promoted/publicised as ITV themselves are looking into both I Am Sam and ITV 7 with a view to adapting it into a TV series.

'S5 Uncovered' was completed in May 2014 and will be out in February 2016. It is based around a series of true events within the lower echelons of north Sheffield's underworld.
