Davey Moore

I am an Annie, BAFTA and WGGB Award nominated Screenwriter with 20+ years’ experience of writing for young people – from preschool to teen.

I am currently writing scripts for the new Craig McCracken show for Cartoon Network and Head Writing a new series for KIKA (Germany) and HRT (Croatia). I’m also developing a new preschool show, based on existing Moonbug IP, for Apple TV.

I recently completed script work on the multi-award-winning series Maddie + Triggs for RTE, Rafi the Wishing Wizard for CBeebies, Magicampers for Disney+, and Happy Town (voiced by Mel B) and 123 Number Squad for Sky Kids.

Having written the pilot scripts and bible, I scripted or script edited all 78 episodes of Tinpo for CBeebies. Following that, I wrote a series of Care Bears shorts and episodes of Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese for the same prodution company.

Having worked on the show continuously since series 17, I wrote 50 episodes of Thomas (the Tank Engine) & Friends, including a double-length musical episode, and numerous original YouTube shorts.

I was super happy to write 19 gorgeous episodes of Puffin Rock – winner of Best New Preschool Series and Best Animated Preschool Series at Kidscreen 2016 and nominated for three Annies in 2017 including Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production for my episode The First Snow.

I bring the benefit of my screenwriting and script editing experience to work as a Development Producer and Creative Consultant. I have worked with numerous individuals, independents and broadcasters to bring their ideas to the screen, including: Cartoon Saloon; Warner Media; and Sprout. Some shows that I’ve been involved with at development stage, that went into production, include: The Tiny Chef Show (Nickelodeon); Claude (Disney); Tulipop Tales (RÚV); and Mumfie (France Television).

Before all of this, I worked in children’s publishing writing books and comic strips and for brands such as Dr. Who, Toy Story, Shrek, LEGO, Teletubbies and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I am super inactive on social media. I just about cope with Linked In. For fun, I go and see bands, watch Adult Swim, take improvisation classes, play video games, and will dance at the drop of a handbag.
