Organised by the TUC, it is a campaigning week of activity where the trade union movement celebrates unions and the good that we do.
Over the past two years unions have demonstrated their relevance and effectiveness in helping working people like never before.
How to get involved
- Your stories are powerful and the TUC wants to tell as many as possible during HeartUnions week so others can benefit too. They are using the StoryTagger mobile app to make it easy for you to record on video and share your story using questions and prompts they have set up. You can find out more here. Upload your stories by 20 February 2022.
- If you’re a union member already help spread the word on social media to help recruit other members. The TUC has a useful Union Finder tool. Use the hashtag #Heartunions and download social media graphics here.
- If you’re not a union member find out who your union is and join online! If you’re a writer in TV, film, theatre, radio, books, comedy, animation or videogames, then WGGB is your union and you can find out more and join here. You can join at any stage of your career, whether you are a professional writer with credits and an agent or just starting out. See some of our recent wins for writers.
