Presented annually for the best original audio drama script of the year, the award was established by the WGGB and the Society of Authors (SoA) to perpetuate the memory of Peter Tinniswood as well as to celebrate and encourage high standards in radio drama.
Submissions will be accepted from any party (producer, broadcasting organisation, writer, agent etc.). Any audio drama script first broadcast or made available online within the UK by a UK-based producer is eligible. This year the award will be administered by the SoA.
The award, including a £3,000 cash prize, is sponsored by ALCS. It will be presented at the BBC’s Audio Drama Awards next year. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 1 October 2023.
