If you are an author (of books or academic journals) or a translator, we urge you to take part in a survey currently being undertaken for the European Commission.
The results of this study are likely to influence the legislative framework and EC policies that govern the remuneration of authors, and this survey will give writers the chance to contribute to the research.
We need to show the dire situation of European creators to encourage the EC to make protective legislation. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete and responses are anonymous. Surveys need to be completed by 30 May 2015.
The survey is being undertaken by Europe Economics and the Institute for Information Law of the University of Amsterdam.
It covers the remuneration of writers, journalists, authors of publications in scientific/academic journals, translators, photographers, illustrators and designers.
