All members are invited to the WGGB Annual General Meeting, Friday 17 June 2016 at The Clarence Centre, 6 St George’s Circus, London SE1 6FE (read our guide to getting there).
This year’s AGM boasts as our speaker:
Mark Linsey, Director of BBC Studios
Mark was appointed to head BBC Studios in March 2016, having previously been Acting Director, Television; Controller, Entertainment Commissioning; and Deputy Director, Television. He has been responsible for Strictly Come Dancing, The Apprentice, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show, The Voice, Top Gear, The Graham Norton Show, Have I Got News For You, Comic Relief, The Revolution Will Be Televised and Russell Howard’s Good News Show.
Aileen Spankie and Jill Hallowell will also be representing the BBC’s Project Diamond team, which brings together broadcasters, producers and other industry organisations in an initiative to transform diversity in the industry. They will talk about confidentiality and the value to writers of participating in the project.
Roger Leatham, the BBC’s Controller of Rights, Legal and Business Affairs, will also be attending.
