“I’ve been a full-time freelance writer since 2002, working in books, magazines, copywriting, audio and for the screen. In books, I’ve written fiction and non-fiction for publishers including BBC Books, Penguin, Simon & Schuster and Titan, as well as for small-press publishers, and have also edited various anthologies and been a range editor, publicist and reviewer. Alongside this books work, I’ve written more than 60 audio plays for Big Finish Productions (and been a script editor and producer there, too), and have originated and produced documentaries for BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4. I’m currently at work on a book about David Whitaker, who – among other things – was Chair of the Writers’ Guild 1966-68.”
