
Roanne Bardsley
Roanne Bardsley is an award-winning television drama writer from West Wales. Before becoming a freelance writer, Roanne worked her way up from storyliner to core writer on Channel 4 soap HOLLYOAKS, penning over sixty episodes. In 2018, Roanne's Hollyoaks episode 'Three Mothers, Three Daughters' won Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards, and in 2020 her episode exploring bulimia won the Writers' Guild Award for Best Long Running Series Script. Roanne has also participated in several writersrooms, and written an episode of Emmy award winning Netflix Childrens' drama Free Rein.
Roanne is now working on original script commissions from the BBC and ITV, as well as a wide range of original television projects in development with production companies such as Firebird, Tall Story, Lime Pictures, Castlefield TV, New Pictures, Westroad Pictures an Riverstone Pictures. Roanne has also been commissioned to write a feature script by Storyworld Entertainment.
