Roanne Bardsley
Roanne Bardsley is an award-winning television drama writer from West Wales. Roanne is currently working as a writer and associate producer on Left Bank's The Fuck-it Bucket for Netflix, and is also writing episodes of an ITV crime thriller and a romantic period drama for a major streamer. Her most recent broadcast work includes episodes of high end dramas SCREW for Channel 4 and THE RISING for Sky. Roanne is also developing projects with various production companies, and has recevied several original script commissions from the BBC , ITV and Channel 4.
Roanne was previously a core writer on HOLLYOAKS, where she penned more than sixty episodes. In 2018, Roanne's Hollyoaks episode 'Three Mothers, Three Daughters' won Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards, and in 2020 her episode exploring bulimia won the Writers' Guild Award for Best Long Running Series Script. Roanne has also participated in several writersrooms, and written an episode of Emmy award winning Netflix Childrens' drama Free Rein.
