From Bishops Stortford and with a degree in Archaeology and Prehistory from the University of Sheffield, Morris moved to Czech Republic in 2010 to study film making. His first screenplay commission came in 2011: Season 2 of a kids' web series starring Paulina Nemcova. This was followed by two successive contracts with Tiger62 Media in Singapore/LA. Over the next two years, Morris developed genre feature films for Pietro Ventani, former Disney and Sony executive, and Rob Minkoff, director of Lion King: Bloodline, a supernatural thriller, and an untitled Rob Minkoff project in the zombie action genre.
From there, Morris wrote an art-house sci fi feature for Demente Producciones, Chile, Incarnation, which was selected by Moscow International Film Festival's Business Square, 2014; and in Prague, Morris co-wrote his first play: a fashion catwalk adaptation of Friedrich Schiller's Mary Stuart, produced in December 2014 by Prague Shakespeare Company.
2015 saw Morris expand into video game and novel writing. He worked on the award-winning cyberpunk action RPG, Dex, by Czech developers, Dreadlocks Studios; for which he also co-directed the voice actors. This led to Morris' first commission as a novelist - a sci fi trilogy for Denis Krytinar: Recurso. Meanwhile, Morris earned his first feature writing credit on the off-road trip romance feature film Montenegro.
He has completed his second novel - a work of literary fiction, of which three chapters were recently published in the Los Angeles Review. He is co-writing an African dramedy feature for Malao Film (Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver) and a drama feature for Peter Anthony (The Man Who Saved the World). His co-written second feature, Playdurizm, is going into production in March 2019 - he also associate directed the film.
Morris has been a jury member for the Festival of Iranian Films in Prague and the WGGB Video Game Writing Award.
