James Payne

Experienced screenwriter whose credits include MR SELFRIDGE, THE MUSKETEERS, DEATH IN PARADISE, ASHES TO ASHES, HUSTLE and EASTENDERS. Creator, writer and EP of international football thriller THE WINDOW for ZDF Studios and Fuji TV. Co-creator and writer of SKY adventure series HOOTEN & THE LADY, which aired in the US on The CW Network.

James has worked extensively in the middle-east, creating and writing two series for MBC. He also created Beirut-set Arabic webdrama, SHANKABOOT, which ran for five series and won the Reflet D’or at the Geneva Film Festival and the International Digital EMMY® for fiction.
