Karen Anstee

Originally trained as a violinist at the Royal Academy of Music and in Boston USA, I started out writing stories inspired by my experiences working in the music industry. My short story, 'SYMPHONY OF SIGHS', was produced for BBC Radio 4 in 2015, starring Hugh Dennis and listed by both the Radio Times and Telegraph as 'pick of the week'. (Now available on my website)

My first novel, 'WHEN THE FAT LADY THINS', is available on Amazon UK, USA and EU (from 14th August 2017)

I graduated from the London Film School in 2012 with an MA in screenwriting and I have since completed four feature length screenplays across a range of genres, including romcom, black comedy/thriller and family.

In August 2016 I completed 'RACHEL' my first film project as writer-director and I will be shooting my latest short 'APPROVAL NEEDED' in January 2018, the script having recently won the Audience Award at the 2017 IMDb Script to Screen Awards.
