Arnoud Breitbarth

Financial journalist turned musical theatre writer (book, lyrics and music). After graduating with distinction from Mountview Academy's MA in Writing Musicals (led by Rob Hartmann and Jen Toksvig), I've been working on various projects as bookwriter, lyricist and/or composer.

I’m always looking to tell tales that touch audiences. The stories that interest me most are the ones that make people cry.
Currently, I am working on Grey Mouse, a show about a master embezzler, Not Dead Yet, a show about a retirement home and Brothers, a musical adaptation of the popular Dutch youth novel Gebr about death, loss and sexuality. Catch Me, a musical about suicide that had a two week run at the Arts Theatre in London in November 2016 and a short outing in Amsterdam in 2017, is in redevelopment. The farcical musical Forgive Us, Oh Father! played, after a run in Leeds in October 2016, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017.
