Carolyn Kras is an LA-based writer for screen and stage. Her awards include the Hamptons International Film Festival Screenwriters Lab, Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Award, Visionary Playwright Award, New York Television Festival Official Selection, Plume & Pellicule Screenwriting Award, and a Fulbright Grant to the United Kingdom. She has been a writer-in-residence at Ucross Foundation, Hawthornden Castle, Ragdale Foundation, and Anderson Center at Tower View. Her plays have been produced or developed at Chicago Dramatists, Stage Left Theatre, Centenary Stage Company, Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, 20% Theatre Company Chicago, Live Girls! Theater, Williams Street Rep, Theater Masters, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Carolyn is an alum of Washington University in St. Louis (B.A. in Drama), Carnegie Mellon’s M.F.A. Dramatic Writing Program, NBC Page Program, and Women in Film Mentorship Program.
