Miranda Walker

Miranda Walker writes comedy and drama for stage, TV & radio.  Her plays include An Inspector Calls Back and Fly Eddie Fly (about Olympic ski jumper Eddie the Eagle). Her work has been staged at The Courtyard Theatre and the Landor Theatre, London, the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham, Brass Works Theatre, Bristol, The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury and Parabola Arts Centre.  Other credits include flagship topical comedy shows The Now Show and The News Quiz for BBC Radio 4, Diddy TV, CBBC, Gigglebiz, CBeebies, and two short films.  Miranda is currently developing a TV sitcom with DLT Entertainment.  She also writes for children, and her work includes storybooks and activity books for Oxford University Press, Hodder Education and Nelson Thornes, and most recently, a graphic text adaptation  of The Secret Garden (OUP) and award winning picture book, Wishing Fish Clock.   Miranda is currently Writer-in-Residence for the Cheltenham Literature Festival, and lectures in Dramatic Writing for stage and radio at the University of Gloucestershire.
