Do you want to know more about writing for radio?
The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain (WGGB) has brought together a panel of audio producers to tell you about the business and art of writing for radio.
Our panel will speak about:
• How a radio writer and producer work together
• What they are looking for in a writer
• The joys and challenges of writing for radio.
The discussion will close with an audience Q&A.
Sally Avens has been working as a director and producer in radio drama since 1990. She was executive producer for the Friday Play and also for comedy drama on Radio 4.
Marc Beeby is a radio producer for the BBC, whose work includes the fantasy series Pilgrim.
Nicholas Briggs is co-executive producer of Big Finish Productions, best-known for its Dr Who range of audio plays.
The event takes place on 21 April 2016 at the St Alban’s Centre, London. Tickets are free to members of the WGGB, and for non-members will cost £10/£5 concessions, plus a small ticket-handling fee which goes to Eventbrite.
Entry to the event includes a free drink afterwards.
Meet the Radio Drama Producers is part of a series of events organised by WGGB’s London & South East Committee. Previous events have included Meet the Agents (pictured above: photo WGGB/Em Fitzgerald).
